Dear Friends,
Christmas is quickly approaching, and I'm looking forward to it with anticipation. Christmas time gives us a wonderful reminder of God's amazing love. It is this time of year that we remember how the King of Creation left His heavenly abode where He was surrounded by angels worshipping Him; how He came to earth to be for a little while lower than those angels; how He took on flesh and became a poor human baby for the purpose of mankind's redemption.
Many children in our communities know only as much about Christmas as what is seen in cartoons. Ours is a blessed privilege to help many children hear, for the first time, the true wonder of Christmas - "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son!" Now, that's what I call GOOD NEWS!!!
This Christmas, as we minister to our own families and to the children in our communities, remember God's amazing love for you. Receive His gift of love with reverence and awe, and let His love be your motivation for everything you do. We aren't FORCED to serve Him; we GET to serve Him. Let's make Christmas all about Him! After all, every good gift and every perfect gift is from above!
