For more than 22 years, God has used our annual golf tournaments in ways we could have never imagined. What began on May 23, 2005, with a small group of golfers at Thornblade Country Club has grown into a beautiful community of Gospel Patrons—faithful friends, businesses, churches, sponsors, and supporters who use their influence, resources, and generosity to help advance the Gospel and make it possible for children to hear about Jesus.
A Gospel Patron is someone who understands that their generosity is more than a donation—it is participation in the mission of God. Through prayer, partnership, business leadership, volunteering, sponsorships, and financial support, Gospel Patrons help create opportunities for children and families to encounter the hope of Christ.
Every tournament, every sponsorship, every conversation on the course represents something much bigger than golf. It represents lives changed through Good News Club®, 5 Day Club®, and children hearing the Gospel in schools and neighborhoods across Greenville, Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens Counties. None of this happens by accident. It happens because of people like you who believe every child deserves to know they are loved by Jesus.
This heart for partnership was also reflected recently at our Building Beyond Business Brunch, where local business leaders gathered to talk about the unique and powerful role businesses can play in funding Gospel movements like Good News Club. We shared how business leaders are uniquely positioned to influence communities, steward resources, create cultures of generosity, and help expand the Kingdom of God far beyond the walls of a church building. It was a meaningful reminder that God often uses the marketplace as a mission field, and faithful businesses as vehicles for Gospel impact.
To every Gospel Patron who has prayed, sponsored, volunteered, golfed, donated, partnered through business, or simply believed in this mission: thank you for helping us continue reaching every child, in every neighborhood, every day. We are humbled by your partnership and grateful to be serving together for the sake of the Gospel.
